Q. Can you arrange shipping outside The US


A. Yes we can arrange nationwide shipping as well as to all US borders. If your needs are to ship outside of the United States we can put you in contact with Shipping Agents and Brokers that can assist you with this.


Q. Do I have to pay taxes if I am buying out of state?


A.  If you have your unit(s) shipped directly from the Dealership without driving it off the lot to any location outside of Florida we do not collect sales tax.  You will pay your sales tax when you register your unit in your State.

If you are titling the vehicle in Florida you will be required to pay the Florida sales tax regardless of how you take delivery.

Anytime a purchased vehicle is actually driven away from our Dealership sales tax must be collected as per Florida law.


Q. Do you have financing available?


A. We can put you in contact with Finance Institutions that specialize in the type of equipment we offer. They will work with you personally to explore any and all finance options in accordance to your needs.


Q. You don’t have the equipment I am looking for. Can you find it for me?


A. If you don’t see what you are looking for please let us know and we will conduct a search to see what might be available for you.  This might even include putting you in touch with another Equipment Dealer if that will allow for the best results to you.


Q. Do you offer a warranty?


A. We offer a 7 day – 300 mile warranty which insures that you can check put your unit for full working order after you receive it. 

You can also purchase an extended Power Train warranty up to 200,000 miles or 2 years depending on the age and class of your vehicle.  Warranties for the aerial equipment are not available.


Q. What testing do you do on the trucks?


A. Included in the refurbishment process is a complete operation and road test.  We do not Dielectric test our units until sold and requested by the customer as all units do not necessarily require this.


Q. What does “reconditioned” really mean?


A. “Reconditioned” simply means that the units we offer for sale have been thoroughly inspected to pinpoint any trouble areas or items of concern. The unit is then brought into compliance with all requirements for a Florida DOT inspection and that inspection is performed by an independent inspector.

The unit is then fully cleaned and painted for a fresh, new look. Occasionally we offer units for sale that have not been repainted as the original paint is still in good condition and we are able to keep our asking price lower for this.


Q. Where does your equipment come from?


A. Most of our equipment is retired public utilities equipment that has been maintained on lease for its life duration and is sold at special auction facilities. By purchasing this way we can inspect and qualify the equipment before buying it just as you would when purchasing the finished product. Occasionally we buy from smaller companies and private owners when we can verify the condition and past maintenance of the unit.


Q. Can I use a “Trade In”?


A. We do accept trade-ins on a limited basis subject to transportation to our facility.  While not every trade is possible we will always be happy to discuss the possibilities of taking your trade in.


Q. Are you affiliated with Skyco Equipment any other equipment companies?


A. No. Centec Equipment LLC is a brand new, standalone company.  Skyco Equipment Inc. is located in our same area and this creates a bit of confusion as to an association with Centec Equipment LLC. However, Skyco Equipment and Centec  Equipment are not affiliated in any way. There are a number of other similar companies throughout the US along with Skyco Equipment and we welcome them as associates and friendly competition.


 Q. Can I advertise on your website?


A. Yes, you can advertise on our website as long as your product is not in direct conflict with our offerings.  We have a very large viewing “audience’ to our site on a daily basis and are already sponsoring ads from Google. Please contact our Internet Department for details.


Q. Where are you located?


A. We are located in Southern Manatee County adjacent to Sarasota County.  Our facility is just 5 miles west off of Exit 213 on I-75 and only 2 miles from the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport.
